Ill admit

It is very very very catchy. Its like something that a live disco electro band would play to get the crowd dancing.

It needs alot of work. there is alot of empty space. The ending of the loop sounds like it would go into a nice bridge or even a chorus. All the ideas you have in this track are solid, catchy and executed pretty well. Its just needs moar of it. If you can extend this and polish it up without losing the hookiness of it then this can be an awesome track.

Try making a few more bass lines. i like the rhythm of the bass but try tweaking the sound a little and the notes. Also its going to need a solo type lead somewhere in there and when you make the bridge your going to have to quiet it down to have a nice drum buildup. then you can just bust out at the end.

Personally i would make more vocoder samplers to thro in there. Something like disco funk. Sort of like a disco mantra like "we dont need fire let the motherfucker burn".. But not that one, haha its been used way too much. Something more extended on -Sock it to me- example would be "Sock it to me, hit the beat in the back. "Gimme some bass" just some cheesy one liners. Or maybe even have some singing.
. Im not even sure if im making sense to you, LOL

Also dont be afraid to toss in little bleeps here and there and get minimal in some parts. it will definitely add some texture to the song and also keep the listener interested to hear what is going to happen next.

i would say your on the right track. just needs more time spent on it.

reminds me of MSI

its ok .. i think if you spent more time changing your effects and doing the lyrics with a little bit more anger in them this could be an awesome piece. Its kinda hard to take take your lyrics seriously when you sing them so apathetically.

i really think you should redo this

IzakFlashMan responds:

Thanks for the review. I haven't had a lot of practice being angry. Ha ha. It usually just boils below the surface. =P
But definatly ill give it another go.

EXtemely relaxing

I have had this looping for about about twenty minutes.
It really is an amazingly relaxing and center vibe piece. It really gets into the primal soul of meditation and relaxation.

I noticed you kinda held off on the percussion being off time and sparsely dense on this one.. you truly played for the ambience and the feel of the song.... 2:25 ... awesome beat change .. .. your EQ-ing and creation skills still amaze me. you just keep getting better and better and better!

The wizard creates another masterpiece.

Awesome job august

nubbinownz responds:

the wizard !? I dunno about that hahaa thanks a bunch dave. Haven't heard much from you in a while man, what have you been up to !?

SO I HAVE BEEN LISTENING>>

I have been listening to your old stuff... Even though i got on your ass about the mercenaries thang... You really are a super emulator.. Your are the internet cover band that should be playing in video chat rooms.. Shit dude .. awesome execution... It is also funny as hell to hear the covers you come up with... I appreciate a musician that can emulate something that occurred just by surprise or possibly that tune that you heard on the radio whilst in a good mood..

Seriously i have noticed your use of software, and it is getting better and more in depth.

AND as your second submission no less.. ill be perfectly honest with you.. you did a very good emulation job... the bass line is really solid.. and im impresed you came up with the lead lines.. Not one layer of this song was missed at all.. Although i hate this song you really did an awesome NewGrounds version..
You didnt cut the end off the track to get rid of the silence at the end... for that you get an 8.. sorry for breakin your balls

Sweet job

Made in fl 8. (No real piano was played in the making of the song)

So you added some saw and a beat

Yeah you added some misplaced techno synth and a simple simple simple beat.
Its not even your song.. remixes arent even allowed .. oh well.. you get a 1 for effort

Catstuffer responds:

That is exactly what I did! :D
