Complete and Serene

Seriously love this one. You always show how you can change your way of composing and using different types of percusive elements. Love the chime piano and the flow of it.. very relaxing yet inspiring. I just got the game mirrors edge and this fits in nicely with a rooftop view of the city skyline.
Sounds determined yet relaxed and somber. great mood porttrayal in this piece man.
I think you should make one that loops, or even continue it a lil bit more though.
LOL you always put out these tiny little gems of brilliance..
More martin i want more

vai90 responds:

And more is what you shall get. ;D

Glad to hear you got Mirror's Edge, it's a great game.
Thx for the kind review!

OSCAR THE GROUCH ON CRACK

i like what you are doing .. very hardcore industrial.. very abbrasive,
just one of the sounds was a lil too trebly.. Dont get me wrong i love trashy sounds. kinda sounds like a horror movie when a cyborg is on the loose killing maiming destroying flaying crushing blowing shit up.

I LOVE THE BEAT! kinda like if i took hammers to my drumset abnd replaced the skins with copper sheats.
very creative .. BUT you dont get a ten because of the mix... to loud and trebly.
A nice west coast boom bass would be a nice addition after remixing it.

Pissomatik responds:

Thanks for the compliment. ( x ) :x R. I love Oscar the Grouch and sho do luh me some crizack too. Hmmm...it's funny you mention a cyborg on the loose. Thinking about it, I could totally see that. Maybe I'll try to make a flash video to go with it about a killer cyborg. Heh heh.
OMGGGGGG......I just fucking saw that shit in my head and wish to god we had way to instantly project our visions onto video.
Intro: A man is on a gurney getting surgury from some fuckt up looking scientist then when the drumz and bass kick in you see the cyborg rais up and start pulling all the monitors off, then when that main riff hits, he fucking kills the scientist.
As it progresses you see the syborg killing and maiming during the upbeat part and then when it get's to the softer part he's holding a body on his lap crying. (it's raining).
Then it ends with him losing his mind and he starts attacking himself and ripping out all of the cybernetics and killing himself by literally ripping his own body apart. (Camera from above his body is laying there, pan out, end credits.)
Hori Shiit!
I need a good flash animator, I can't do this .........aaaaaahahahahahahahahahah. NOT FAIR, dude you suck for inspriing this....damn it .....do you know flash? Cause if so you better get to work!
Oh, and I totally agree, a boom bass is definatly what I was lacking.....still working on that though as I have to create the sound myself, I just don't like anything in the FL Studio premades. There isn't any that will fit. Of course, I could possibly just get away with some work on the mixer and add more bass to either the drums or bassline.

i have 3 dogs

and they hate you... i trained them to attack pictures of you everytime they hear your audio...beware of italian greyhounds and chihuahuas.. they have a network

Soooooo...

WHY arent you making music for movies?
Another piece of yours i possitively love.
You captured a very sad and trajic emotion here. Strings and piano weaved together perfectly in a lovers embrace.
The percusion and drums fir together greta to create a mastery of structure.
The build up from 135 to 208 that comes strong to be caught by a lovely piano interlude had to be my fav part.
great great great work
ANother i willhave to fav from you
5's and 10's all around

Developer responds:

I created this peace with a question: "Can I make a sountrack?"
So I could. Too bad it is all about quality because it sounds not so "alive"...
However I try to make something new. And of course I keep on experementing.
Thank you for your review! :)

WOW!

Was just cruising around miscellanious and found this awesome piece. I love how the entire song changes in flow and personality. the beginning is what caught my attention. It was extremely beautifull, the next part crazy attitude and build until 55 when it plateaus amazingly.

2:00 Was seriously legendary. and still goes full tilt to the ending. Also there is a drum that sounds like the door to hell is closing at 2:39. Im pretty sure you just manipulated a timpani but damn that sounded awesome .
The chord progression and constant change of this song gave it a great feel and soul. You must have spent a very long time on this and it shows. Seriously one of the best electro orchestra songs i have ever heard on newgrounds.
Proffesional quality.
5's and faved
your gonna be my next suggestion to maestro rage for the front page.

Developer responds:

Wow, I'm simply amazed by your review. This track is rather old than new, but still thank you. :)
Actually it was done in about three or four days, but I had a long trip from my FAWTs till this one. I still think it is my greatest creation not only because of all what sounds in it, but also how my computer almost doesn't work when I turn on FL with project of New Generation. :D

I need More!!!!!!!!!

In all honesty ..I clicked the link to the track and hear a great beginning to a song.. It would be a shame if you didn't elaborate upon this submission.... i was waiting to hear the "kick" the hook" the attention grabber"... It sounds like an intro to something not yet heard... I really want to see where this goes........................Something that in loud speakers makes a sternum jump!!!

vai90 responds:

I totally agree, this definitely feels like an intro. I should work on this again sometime.
Thx.

You know what!!!!!

As a drummer i would have to say this is the most percussion involving track you have up to date.. you took a violin line and added some SEVERE malice to it.. i always love a good amount of soul and malice thrown into a drum track...... You might be turning evil my friend... Your percussion truly played for the song.. TRULY.....
You get a SOLID ten for touching the dark side..
Out of all your submisions i have never heard you get this technically evil.. i am surprised and drawn into it.
5's and faved

vai90 responds:

I discovered my musical dark side. :D
Thx for the 10, man!

sweeet

Loved the beats and the music in the background..good execution.

mseemercury responds:

thx man

HAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAA HAHAHA

seriously i swear you stole my idea... but thank you for doing it better than i could of.
seriously funnny as hell ... and dont worry i dont think Raffi will really care that you strapped some obsidian balls to his song.

TheRealSam responds:

Well thanks a lot dude! Glad to see it made you laugh!! :D

PAINFULL!! but in that good way

when the begining played i thought it was going to end up being a cover of "Down here at the pawn shop" from sublime... i LOLd when it wasnt.

Well back to the song at hand. I like the distortion effect. I like some of the riff that you played. The song doesnt really get to its full potential until 1:34.
Once that part hits the songs gets alot molre interesting, and is pretty much why im writing a review. All in all i think its great work but i do have some suggetions.

1. Change up the drums a lil bit, get them to jump around somewhat. Maybe not the tempo but when the song gets a lil heavier open the high hat and throw in some tom work and some rolls and fills.

2. EQ the drums a lil better and toss some reverb in it. If it sounds like a drum machine with guitar over it it will sound like something you did in music class.
add a lil reverb itll sound like you did it in a studio.

3. well im out of suggestions but i loved the guitar playing and the distortion that you found i think fits the style alot ... kinda bluesy but kinda southern rockish.

all in all you get a 4 and an 7
keep it up sir

oogock responds:

i kind of don't have a drum program i just have 25 beats to choose from on my distortion pedal so i don't really have a lot of options to choose from, but once i get something ill add in those things you suggested. thx for the time with the review i always appreciate them. rock on
