HEART AND SOUL

where the hell did i leave my extremely large keyboard from the movie BIG

HAHAHA

Wow dude this is pretty sick. This would be perfect for an evil circus/carnival video game.

I especially loved the drums. Nice, fast paced, interesting and feverish.
This is one of those songs that if i woke up to it i would probably run towards the nearest living thing and fucking kill it. (i mean that in a good way)

Hahaha, thanks man. Exactly the kind of feelings I was trying to evoke with this one. Also probably the best song I've written in a long time.

Soft Spoken and delicate

This is a wonderful piece.
The beginning is nice and somber, very sad but it songs through the piano nicely.
I love at 2:30 when the pace picks up a bit and it starts to get feverish and more rhythm paced. It adds an urgency to the piano like a poem being read aloud passionately.

This almost sounds like you had just jumped behind a piano and played from the heart. i still cant tell if this is improv or written music but either way it has a lovely cadence and sway to it. Like a sad lullaby.

The slow rise of intensity that starts at 5:30 is great it slowly just keeps getting more and more passionate until the ending note. i love when a piano piece does that. i like the ending how you had played it in loose time to add the feeling of the end.

Great work

Im love it when people actually read music as a poem, and see how it was played with passion. Normally this is described at its best using instruments such as violins or pianos. I did a lot of improv in this song, playing from the heart, but I wrote the main tune a while back and finally got a chance to play it.

Thanks for your kind words man, its reviews that really keep me going.

KICK ASS

Good shit dude. reminds me alot of The-O

JonH2O responds:

Oh, The-O. Yes...Hm.....I'll figure that out later.

brilliant

im guessing rum was your poison

Bit'y

I definitely dig this. I'm a big fan of 8 bit music. its a nice happy little loop and is perfect for any 8 bit platformer. It sounds like the song that would be at the end of the level when a cute little character is doing his victory dance or when he gets a vehicle to fly around on and kick some ass. It makes me thinks of clouds in an 8 bit world.. like a sky level that you fly through whippin ass with a cute little character creating all the destruction.

Im diggin... like 75% of it

That 1,2,3,4 Synth that starts at 27. I dig what you are trying to do with it. But i would seriously put a reverse effect on it .. just to fill up the ambience and give the synth some character.

The siren.. i love a siren as much as the next guy but you can really add some dynamics to it bu choping up the sample and adding a delay to it.

I would definitly say this is a form of dubstep. Your song structure kept it moving .. but it really is missing alot of character.

Start adding effects such as delays flangers and rotary cabinets. youll see a huge difference in the track just by sitting there for an hour or two and doing some serious automation with certain effects.

All in all its got great potential, i would really like to hear this track sound more spacey and ghosty.
My favorite part of the track is the simplicity of the drums.. you had used the perfect set to go along with the track. At some times it reminded me of what a drugged out robot would sound like on a dance floor.

I have recently been effin around with dubstep. its a simple genre to produce but the secret is automation reguarding producing, unless you are using ableton .. then in that case you can just record live automation.
What DAW are you using?

superuberinsaneausm responds:

thanks for the advice, i use fl studio 8 i really agree with you on the aspect of reverb on the drums, i tried to add some but i was afraid i would overdo it
